Reviews will be coming back soon, I swear! Until then, this slightly ironic nerd animation!

Meet Buck: French Animation Win
I don't know why I am continuously surprised by the amazing French animation I'm finding, but ever since discovering the work coming out of Gobelins, I've been looking for even more. The short (no dialogue) film below is absolutely stunning animation, both due to it's amazing blend of 3D with hand-painted style and the fluid animation throughout... well worth the watch. Check it out!

Captain America Sneak Peak
Well, the super bowl is over and a few awesome trailers were debuted. Thor's trailer has been around for a while and the newer JJ Abrams trailer for "Super 8" was quite interesting and vague. The trailer for Captain America however... was brand new and actually surprised me with how awesome it looked. I had my doubts about Chris Evans being cast as Cap, but... he's certainly looking the part. Check out the trailer for yourself below!

What's Coming Up
Wondering where I've been the past couple of months? I won't bore you with the boring details of my recent busy schedule other than to say... I've been very busy with mundane things not worth blogging about. In addition, well... the movies of late just haven't been worth seeing. I've finished up the "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" trilogy, which will bear mentioning later, but nothing in the theaters has even mildly sparked my interest.
Fortunately, that's all to change shortly. Behold:
I expect the only real challenges to watch will be "The Kids are All Right" (I'm expecting a message movie) and "Inception" (I've seen it twice in theaters and it's the longest movie smack in the middle of a marathon).
Fortunately, that's all to change shortly. Behold:

AMC will be showing all ten Oscar nominations for the best picture over the course of two Saturdays... That's five movies a day! Check out the line-up below. I plan on posting a quick take on each film once the day is through, or possibly a couple of days later. I've never sat through five movies in a row before (my current record is three), so I have no idea how out of it I will be. Some of these I have seen and already mentioned/rated, so I'll just link to previews reviews for them. Fortunately, I've only seen four of the ten movies (that just so happen to be broken up evenly between both days), so most of this will be relatively fresh material.I expect the only real challenges to watch will be "The Kids are All Right" (I'm expecting a message movie) and "Inception" (I've seen it twice in theaters and it's the longest movie smack in the middle of a marathon).

Gorgeous Animation
Words really cannot describe how much I love this short. It's very simplistic, almost crude in style, but the overall look and obvious quality in every frame is flawless. Be sure to check out Mr. Woodward's other work as well, but this is easily the best animation I've seen since my recent Gobelins trip.
